Set of 3 nesting bowls + tiles

This project is a set of bowls that change the way we eat, through changing how we interact with food. This can be the way food is plated using multiple dishes instead of one, how our utensil connects to the dish, making us more intentional, bringing us back to the moment of eating. It also considers how community can be brought into the plateware, thinking of how food can be placed on another dish and easily passed from one to another.

The main focus of these pieces is intentionality. When the dish is lifted, the bottom is not super hot because of the ripple at the base of the bowl. There is also intention when eating, as the bowls demand more active intention using the ripples to catch sauces, slowing you down to really consider how you enjoy your food.
